At one time the East Neuk of Fife had several stations dotted along the coast but unfortunately they are no longer in function. There has been talk of restoring one of them to try and help cut down on the road traffic and to make it easier for people to leave their cars at home. However, the train stations at Kirkcaldy and Leuchars offer the shortest distance to the East Neuk either by bus or road. This may take 35 minutes or 15 minutes, respectively, by car and a little longer, depending on what routes you take, by bus.
